Diploma in Avalanche Studies

This Diploma develops your skills in Avalanche Safety enabling the planning and managing of Avalanche Safety programmes and incorporates the New Zealand Certificate in Avalanche Risk Management Stage 2; a prerequisite for most industry management roles. You will be able to apply your advanced knowledge in snow science to ensure the safety of people and assets in avalanche-prone areas.

This course involves self directed study with regular submissions to a tutor, a 5 day field training and an 8 day field assessment.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants are required to hold the New Zealand Certificate in Avalanche Risk Management Stage 1 and to complete a health and safety declaration.
